Rawalpindi, Pakistan (Khyber Mail) Aug 4, 2025 — In a significant reshuffling of senior military leadership, multiple Major Generals and Brigadiers have received new postings across key operational, administrative, and strategic commands in the Pakistan Army.
According to official orders:
- Maj Gen Imtenan has been reassigned from DG Housing to General Officer Commanding (GOC) 45 Division.
- Maj Gen Noor Wali Khan, previously serving with Inter-Services Intelligence, has been appointed Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Interior (MOI).
- Maj Gen Majid has been posted to VCLS-A (Vehicle Logistics and Supply).
- Maj Gen Javed Dost Chandio transitioned from Commander Logistics Area Gwadar to Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), Wah, as DG Production.
- Maj Gen Shahid Pervez, formerly VCLS-A, will now serve as Commander Logistics Area Gwadar.
- Maj Gen Faisal Ghaffar assumes command as GOC 11 Division.
- Maj Gen Waseem moves from GOC 37 Division to Director General Public Affairs (DG PA).
- Maj Gen Faheem has been posted from COS HQ Southern Command to the Ministry of Defence (MOD).
- Maj Gen Kamran now leads the School of Armour & Mechanized Warfare as Commandant, having served at MLRC 2 Corps.
- Maj Gen Habib Nawaz, previously DG MRC 10 Corps, becomes GOC 44 Division Gwadar.
Additional reshuffles include:
- Maj Gen Luqman Hafeez appointed as DG Housing, GHQ, replacing Maj Gen Imtenan.
- Maj Gen Yasir Elahi, formerly GOC 45 Engineers Division, now serves as DG Engineers.
- Maj Gen Syed Asif Hussain transitions from DG Planning AG Branch to Deputy IG C&IT Branch.
- Maj Gen Saad Ul Abad posted as DG-H ISI, reflecting strategic adjustments within intelligence operations.
- Maj Gen Yasir Nawaz Janjua, previously Commandant at the School of Artillery, now leads as GOC SFN (Special Forces North).
- Maj Gen Shahid Abro leaves GOC SFN to take over as DG Human Resource Development (HRD).
- Maj Gen Sayed Abbas, Chief of Staff, Central Command, has been posted as GOC SFS (Special Forces South).
- Brig Majid Hussain Bhatti, newly approved as Major General, assumes charge at VCLS-A.
- Brig Mansoor Nasir promoted to DG DW&C from Deputy DG.
The shake-up is viewed as part of routine rotational assignments designed to optimize operational efficiency and leadership development across Pakistan’s military infrastructure.
