Islamabad, Jan 03, 2026 (Agencies) – Pakistan on Friday reiterated its firm commitment to the One China principle, stating that it continues to regard Taiwan as an inalienable part of the People’s Republic of China.
Responding to media queries on recent developments related to the Taiwan Strait, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said that Pakistan and China enjoy an iron-clad friendship and are all-weather strategic cooperative partners. He emphasized that Pakistan’s position on the issue remains consistent and unchanged.
The spokesperson reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support for China on matters concerning its core national interests, including the question of Taiwan. He said Pakistan has always stood by China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“We will continue to adhere to the One China principle and regard Taiwan as an inalienable part of China,” Andrabi said, underscoring Islamabad’s longstanding policy stance on the issue.
