Islamabad, December 18, 2025 (Khyber Mail) – The Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) has successfully concluded delivery of 52 Super Mushshak trainer aircraft to the Turkish Air Force, marking a major milestone in Pakistan’s aviation exports and defense cooperation with Türkiye.

The landmark contract, originally signed in 2016 during the IDEAS Defence Exhibition in Karachi, was one of the largest export deals in PAC’s history. Despite delays, the final batch of aircraft was handed over in December 2025, completing the full order.

The PAC MFI?395 Super Mushshak, an upgraded variant of the Saab Safari, is widely used for basic pilot training. Early deliveries underwent acceptance trials at Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSA?) before being inducted into operational service. With all 52 aircraft now delivered, the fleet is fully integrated into the Turkish Air Force’s training program.

PAC has produced more than 345 Mushshak and Super Mushshak aircraft since the program began in the late 1970s. Alongside the Pakistan Air Force, the trainers are in service with several countries including Saudi Arabia, Oman, South Africa, Qatar, Nigeria, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye, underscoring Pakistan’s growing role in the global defense market.

Officials hailed the completion as a significant achievement for Pakistan’s aviation sector, demonstrating PAC’s ability to deliver on international contracts and strengthening bilateral defense ties. The deal also enhances Türkiye’s pilot training capacity with a cost?effective and reliable platform.

Defense analysts note that the successful completion of the contract highlights the deepening strategic partnership between Islamabad and Ankara, while positioning Pakistan as a competitive supplier of trainer aircraft worldwide.
