Islamabad – 23 January 2026 (Khyber Mail): Today marks an important milestone for the Education Network Pakistan, a flagship project of the Nazriya Pakistan Council Trust, as Nazriya Pakistan Council Trust (NPC), Ghausia Mehriya School System (GMSS), and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Under this agreement, the three organizations will jointly work to bring out-of-school children back into the formal education system.
Presiding over the MoU signing ceremony, Chairman Nazriya Pakistan Council Trust, Mian Muhammad Javed, stated that taking responsibility for the education of helpless and underprivileged children is a great honor and a lasting act of charity (Sadaqah Jariyah). He highly appreciated the educational efforts of Dr. Zill-e-Huma, Head of Ghausia Mehriya School System, and her late father, and expressed optimism that collective efforts would yield meaningful results for society.

Chairperson Education Network Pakistan, Razeena Alam Khan, briefed the participants about the project “Mera Apna School” established in Sector G-14, Islamabad, and warmly welcomed Dr. Zill-e-Huma on the occasion of the MoU signing.
Representing JICA, Bilal Aziz, the third signatory to the agreement, stated that special arrangements would be made to reintegrate out-of-school children by providing them not only formal academic education through the Federal Directorate of Education but also officially recognized certificates. He explained that under the Middle Tech Program, students will receive middle-level certification along with technical and vocational education of their choice.
The program is approved by the relevant authorities and will enable students to pursue matriculation, higher education, and employment opportunities, thereby becoming productive members of society.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Zill-e-Huma expressed that signing the MoU with the Nazriya Pakistan Council Trust’s Education Network Pakistan has given her renewed strength and encouragement. She informed that currently, 200 students from Grade 1 to Grade 10 are enrolled in the Ghausia Mehriya School System, and the number of students will be gradually increased. She further announced that a modern computer laboratory will be established at the school in the near future.

In conclusion, she thanked Mian Muhammad Javed and his team for their cooperation and support.
The ceremony was also attended by Senior Member NPC Ambassador Salahuddin Chaudhry, NPC Director Sultan Hamid Malik, and Hameed Qaiser.
