Karachi, March 19, 2026 (Khyber Mail) – BYD in partnership with Mega Motor Company has delivered 100 units of its BYD Atto 2 to customers across Pakistan in a single day, marking a significant milestone in the country’s growing new energy vehicle market.

The deliveries were conducted simultaneously across multiple cities through BYD’s expanding network of experience centers and dealerships, reflecting increasing consumer interest in electric mobility and the brand’s strengthening footprint nationwide.

The Atto 2, designed primarily for urban use, offers a cost-efficient alternative to conventional fuel-powered vehicles. Industry observers note that rising fuel prices and growing environmental awareness are contributing to a gradual shift toward electric vehicles in Pakistan.

In addition to the Atto 2 rollout, BYD has recently introduced its flagship BYD Sealion 7 in the local market, with deliveries already underway. The expansion of its product lineup signals the company’s broader strategy to cater to different segments of Pakistan’s evolving EV market.

Speaking on the occasion, BYD Pakistan Country Head Lei Jian described Pakistan as a key market in the company’s global new energy vision, emphasizing efforts to make advanced electric vehicle technology more accessible while supporting sustainable transportation.

Vice President Sales and Strategy at BYD Pakistan-MMC, Danish Khaliq, highlighted the importance of customer trust and after-sales support, stating that the company aims to provide a seamless ownership experience alongside advanced vehicle technology.

Customers receiving vehicles also expressed satisfaction with the delivery process, noting efficient coordination and timely handover ahead of the Eid period.

With increasing numbers of electric vehicles entering the market, BYD-MMC said it expects to further accelerate adoption of cleaner transportation solutions in Pakistan, offering practical alternatives to traditional petrol and diesel vehicles.
