Dubai, UAE — August 15, 2025 (Agencies) – In a groundbreaking moment for global pageantry and Palestinian representation, Nadeen Ayoub will represent Palestine for the first time at the 74th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled for November 21 in Pak Kret, Thailand.

Ayoub, a 27-year-old Palestinian-Canadian beauty queen, was crowned Miss Palestine in 2022 and previously earned the title of Miss Earth Water at the Miss Earth pageant in Manila, becoming the first Palestinian woman to place in the top five of a major international beauty competition.

Her family traces its origins to Yafa (Jaffa), and she spent her formative years between the West Bank, Canada, and the United States. She holds degrees in literature and psychology from the University of Western Ontario and currently resides in Dubai, where she works as a certified fitness coach and nutrition consultant.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Ayoub declared: “Today, I step onto the Miss Universe stage not just with a title — but with a truth. As Palestine endures heartbreak — especially in Gaza — I carry the voice of a people who refuse to be silenced. We are more than our suffering — we are resilience, hope, and the heartbeat of a homeland that lives on through us”.

Ayoub’s participation marks Palestine’s debut at Miss Universe since the pageant’s inception in 1952. Her appearance is not only symbolic but also deeply personal, as she aims to challenge global stereotypes and amplify the voices of Palestinian women and children through her initiative, Sayidat Falasteen, the media arm of the Miss Palestine Organization.

She is also the founder of Olive Green Academy, the UAE’s first institution dedicated to training women in sustainability and artificial intelligence, reflecting her commitment to environmental advocacy and female empowerment.

As humanitarian conditions in Gaza continue to deteriorate amid a prolonged crisis, Ayoub’s presence on the global stage is being hailed as a powerful act of cultural diplomacy and resilience. Her journey to Miss Universe is not just about beauty—it’s about bearing witness, breaking barriers, and representing a nation whose voice has long been marginalized.
