New York (Agencies) July 9, 2025 — Renowned theoretical physicist Dr. Michio Kaku has reignited global curiosity about the multiverse theory, offering a compelling analogy that likens parallel universes to radio frequencies. Speaking on his syndicated program Science Fantastic, Kaku explained that multiple realities may exist simultaneously, but we only perceive one because we are “tuned” to a specific frequency.

“There might be dinosaurs or aliens in your living room right now,” Kaku said. “But you don’t see them because you’re vibrating at a different frequency. You’re only in sync with one version of reality.”
Kaku’s metaphor draws from string theory and quantum mechanics, which suggest that the universe is composed of vibrating energy strings. Each vibration corresponds to a different universe, much like radio stations broadcasting on separate wavelengths. According to this view, countless alternate realities—with different histories, physical laws, or even versions of ourselves—could exist in the same space, but remain undetectable because we are not resonating with them.
The concept aligns with the Many-Worlds Interpretation of quantum mechanics, which posits that every quantum event spawns a new universe. Kaku, a co-founder of string field theory, believes that future advances in quantum computing and cosmology may one day allow us to detect or even interact with these alternate dimensions.
His remarks have gone viral, sparking renewed interest in the Fermi Paradox—the question of why we haven’t encountered extraterrestrial life despite the vastness of the cosmos. Some theorists now suggest that alien civilizations may exist in parallel universes, invisible to us due to dimensional separation.
