Iran stood to the test of the times , frustrated the will to regime change though they went through a transition smoothly but public didn’t come up for any change as envisaged by the war planners. They didn’t surrender beside many tactical setbacks they didn’t give up and kept the Strait of Hormuz under their own vigilance thus limited the passage of fifth of global oil supplies for over two months. This is a great feat in itself. US had to allow Russian ships to provide necessary oil to the needy Europe and elsewhere. Iran didn’t budge on nuclear issue too. They might pursue the nuclear program with a rejuvenated spirit. This might happen quickly.
The war has been too costly and militarily devastating. It costs are expected to be around $1 trillion, besides massive military men and material losses though a strict censor has been implemented to brush off any such news in the media.
US found herself left asunder both locally and internationally. The world seems no more in a mood to tolerate any gambling in this scenario. If any more anger is shown than whole paradigm is likely to crumble under it’s own weight.
The idea of sending boots on ground is self destructive. They might arrive on ground but won’t be able to move back and their coffins would be unbearbly too heavier. The wedge between old allies has been widened to an irrevocable level, Ukraine has been the major cause. The US appeasement of the Russian govt during Ukrainian war was much to the dismay of European Union as EU wanted to punish Russia but trump was found in a different mood. It further widened during Iranian war.
Israel failed to defend herself against Iranian missile attacks as her proud weapon ie iron dome failed the barrage of Iranian missile.
Many of Israel’s critical facilities and buildings were hit and destroyed by Iran. Israel too has lost her credibility in the West. Having any linkages with Jewish lobbies has become a new taboo in USA and EU. This will be transformed into electioneering soon.
Lastly, the Gulf states suffered the greatest losses in their history as a result of a war that was not theirs. The Gulf countries had been disillusioned about the the superficial advancement and self sustenance , relying on US based security arrangements however misconceived ideas got flattened once everything got exposed. ME countries will have to rearrange their security apparatus . Priorities must be reset.
