Rawalpindi – 11 March, 2026 (Adnan Hameed): A Peace Seminar was organized by the National Peace and Justice Council, Government of Pakistan, in which emphasis was placed on eliminating the growing terrorism and sectarianism in the country and on interfaith harmony. The chief guest of the event, Senator, Lieutenant General (retd) Abdul Qayyum Hilal-Imtiaz Military and President Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society, highlighted the promotion of Pakistaniness, justice, patience, tolerance and tolerance.
Chairman National Peace and Justice Council Mian Abdul Waheed emphasized the importance of peace and the positive role of Pakistan at the international level.

Dr. Mirza Aamir Khurshid, Secretary International Affairs NPJC Pakistan, while expressing his views on the need to actively participate in the awareness campaign for the establishment of a society based on peace and justice, said that the best society is the one in which there is justice and the spirit of benevolence is also present.
On this occasion, Lieutenant General (retd) Abdul Qayyum was awarded the National Peace Award 2026 and Dr. Mirza Aamir Khurshid Baig was awarded the Best Performance Award 2026 for his services towards establishing a society based on peace and justice.
Senior journalists Sardar Murad Ali Khan, Rohail Ikram, Malik Kifayat Hussain, Syed Ijaz Hussain Shah, Talal Saleem, Tanveer Chaudhry, Shabbir Baloch, Engineer Ryan Rashid and a large number of people from different walks of life attended the ceremony.
