Rabat, February 28, 2026 (Agencies) — His Majesty Mohammed VI held a series of telephone conversations on Saturday with leaders of several Gulf countries, reaffirming Morocco’s firm support and solidarity amid recent developments affecting the region.

According to a statement issued by the Royal Office, the King spoke with His Highness Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and President of the Council of Ministers, and His Highness Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar.

During the calls, King Mohammed VI strongly condemned what he described as vile aggressions targeting the sovereignty and territorial security of these brotherly states. He expressed Morocco’s full backing for all legitimate measures they may take to safeguard their national security and ensure the safety and peace of their citizens.

The Royal statement emphasized the deep-rooted fraternal ties and enduring solidarity that unite Morocco with the Arab Gulf countries. The King underlined that the security and stability of the Gulf states are inseparable from the security and stability of Morocco, stressing that any threat to their sovereignty constitutes a serious and unacceptable aggression and a direct danger to regional stability.
