This piece ostensibly gives the impression of social awareness and intellectual depth, but in reality, it contains several serious negative aspects that turn it into more of a grievance letter rather than a balanced analysis.

The biggest negative aspect is the extreme generalization in this piece. Confining the entire Gen Z into a single way of thinking, a single attitude, and a single mindset is not only intellectually dishonest but also a deviation from social reality. Every generation of young people contains diversity, differences, and varying intellectual trends, and ignoring these weakens the analysis.

The second major negative aspect is the evasion of responsibility. The author dismisses the youth’s frustration, distrust, and reactions as their lack of understanding, while refusing to acknowledge the fact that current economic pressures, unemployment, educational decline, and social injustice are the products of the very systems that have been controlled by the older generation for years.

The piece clearly reflects a sense of moral superiority, as if the older generation alone possesses all wisdom, while the youth are merely misguided and deceived. This attitude not only shuts the doors to dialogue but also deepens the generational divide.

Another negative aspect is viewing dissent as a threat. Criticizing the system, raising questions, and demanding accountability are hallmarks of any healthy society, but in this piece, they are presented as rebellion, disrespect, or a deviation from patriotism, reflecting an undemocratic and narrow-minded mindset.

Similarly, portraying social media and the internet in an entirely negative light is also a weak point. Technology itself is neither good nor bad; the real issue lies in its usage. Blaming it as the sole cause of the youth’s misguidance is equivalent to escaping from facts.

Lastly, the most concerning aspect of the piece is its pessimistic and conclusive tone. The mindset reflected in phrases like “everything is finished” offers neither solutions nor hope. This tone promotes disillusionment and intellectual stagnation rather than reform.
