Beijing, (Agencies): July 8, 2025 — Eight female students from Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan completed a vibrant and culturally immersive visit to Beijing from July 2 to 6, as part of a China-Pakistan educational exchange promoting girls’ empowerment and cross-border friendship.
The delegation, facilitated by the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, toured historic landmarks like the Forbidden City and Bird’s Nest Stadium and engaged with women-led agricultural enterprises. They also visited the Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture, where they participated in a greenhouse tour and flower-arranging activity alongside local students.
The visit is an extension of an ongoing initiative by the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, which has distributed health kits across 23 districts in Balochistan, benefiting nearly 7,000 female students and training over 150 teachers in health awareness and hygiene practices.
Munir Ahmed, head of the delegation and an official with Balochistan’s education department, praised the program for its lasting impact: “It’s not just about education—it’s about changing lives, improving health and keeping girls in school.”
Student delegate Asma Munir expressed her gratitude, saying, “This project is one of hope, light and empowerment,” adding that she had witnessed positive change taking root in her community.
Chinese student Chen Cheng, who engaged in lively discussions with the visiting group, reflected on the experience: “The meaning of education transcends borders. It helps us understand each other and allows dreams to take root and flourish.”
The exchange highlighted growing people-to-people ties between Pakistan and China and underscored education as a shared bridge of opportunity and understanding.
